After graduating from law school in 1982, I went to work for one of the largest firms in the country in Los Angeles, California.  During my years of counseling, I worked extensively on personal injury, wrongful death and business litigation.

After a number of years in California, my wife, Cindy, and I decided to move back to my home state of Minnesota.  I was looking to return to a smaller city in Minnesota that would be similar to Battle Lake, my boyhood home.  I was pleased and honored to join Lano, O’Toole & Bengtson, Ltd. in 1989.  Since 1989, I have extensive experience in municipal law, criminal law, personal injury, wrongful death, insurance disputes and business and property litigation, including debt collection.

I take pride that I practice with some of the most experienced and practical lawyers in the area.  They are a tremendous resource to me in my practice.  I believe my years of experience and the assistance and support I receive from my partners, give me the ability to provide a commonsense approach to litigation.  I strive to provide aggressive and quality legal services in a timely and cost efficient manner.
